Get Download, Make Love

As I mentioned last post, it’s close to the one-year anniversary of the TOE STUBBER fast-food franchise. It is my strongest hope that the site has meant more than a single drop of piddly piss in an ocean of boring, self-aggrandizing mp3 blogs created by bald white dudes. I want it to be more like a powerful, gushing stream of piss.

Birthdays are for celebrating, and a number of friends have contributed time and moral support to this project. To quote To Sir, With Love, “What could I give you in return?” That’s when it occurred to me that I could simply repost every song that ever appeared on ToeStubber.com (minus the tunes that I never removed in the first place) and let our loyal readers go crazy with consumer greed! What a stupid fucking idea!

...Because, naturally, it took me long hours of typing code and a ridiculously dreary upload and, in the end, will probably crush my server. So, enjoy. If there were songs you missed out on the first time, I encourage you to go on a screeching, arm-flailing, gorilla-like downloading spree, because I will absolutely not be doing this shit again. Everything’s in roughly alphabetical order, for no good reason. And all these reruns will be deleted forever on October 7th at midnight, PST.

Sorry I didn’t realize you had done a post on Captain Beyond…For the last 823 days I’ve been surfing porn and draining 373 magnums of right bank Bourdeaux I inherited…I promise a rebirth of my blog (Sex Kittens) sooon. But, you know, I was immediately smitten by that first Captain Beyond and thought their mysticism was quite sincere. Look at the Fool card from the Waite deck (or better the BOTA deck) and tell me it isn’t “Dancing Madly Backwards on a Sea of Air”. Seriously though, that record puts the whole output of Rush to shame. None of these heavy ‘70s proto thudmeisters that have popped up recently have done it for me as much as as the first CB. How the second one is such a turd, I dunno…Why didn’t Metallica never cover these guys – too difficult?
Seriously, keep slogging, you’re an inspiration…

only one year of TOESTUBBS so far? feels like a fuckin’ eternity! just kidding… at least your “bald white dude” blog has been clear and to the point, unlike a blogsite i stubbed my toe on earlier today called Nostalgia Party No. 2. the site featured film stills, which is great, but it is so convoluted and difficult to navigate that i was given pause to appreciate the attention to detail which toestubbs pays so thoroughly…
