I can say for sure that Harley Belew(also used Harley David as a radio name) is the creator and voice of Queen Bee BBQ...I am the one who actually 'originally' gave the cassette tape to Billy Gibbons many years ago.....I've known Billy since I was a teenager and at the time I was Billy's locksmith on some of his properties...I also knew Harley from KSBJ radio in Houston(Humble Tx)when he worked there in the 80's....I was doing work for Billy and I had heard Harley's Queen Bee "craziness" and I told Harley I was giving Gibbons a cassette tape cause I knew Billy would laugh and appreciate it.....Harley and I still even write a few songs together. Love and Mercy...and pass da ribs!!!!!!! Chester Harkins... Houston Texas...where the stars are bright and the sky is so blue!

I friend turned me on to Queen Bee about 15 years ago. We used to "tune up" a bit and then listen to some real old cassette tapes with Queen Bee ads. We'd almost piss ourselves laughin' so damned hard!

I've been trying, off and on, to find the Queen Bee ads for years! Thank you so F**ckin' much for making these available to folks! You ROCK!

YES!!! Great stuff! I remember hearing Queen Bee ads once on Dallas radio (Q102 with Redbeard) back in the late 80s and have not heard them since. Thanks so much for posting these. :)

I'm really diggin on the Bill Collins ads and would love to find more. Any hints? Man, they just don't do radio like that anymore.

Not sure if ya'll watch King of the Hill, but Billy Gibbons was on an episode a while back, playing himself. One scene had him waking Hank with a bull horn early in the morning... what did he yell? "QUEEN BEE BAHBEQUE, NOW SERVIN' SHRIMPS!"
