My friend Tommy and I often discuss how under-appreciated the Buttholes have been. Sure, there are the die-hards, those who were there to see with their own eyes. But it seems to us that the Surfers were far more revolutionary than is known. They opened doors of irreverence which hadn’t been opened since Iggy. Truly a great band, even as far as the later nineties. Just sit back and listen to Locust Abortion Technician and the truth will out. (of course, Toestubs already knows this)
